**Analog statute — K.S.A. 65-4101(g)(1):** "'Controlled substance analog' means a substance that is intended for human consumption, and at least one of the following: (A) The chemical structure of the substance is substantially similar to the chemical structure of a controlled substance listed in or added to the schedules designated in K.S.A. 65-4105 or 65-4107 …; (B) the substance has a stimulant, depressant or hallucinogenic effect on the central nervous system substantially similar to … a controlled substance included in the schedules designated in K.S.A. 65-4105 or 65-4107 …; or (C) with respect to a particular individual, such individual represents or intends the substance to have a … hallucinogenic effect … substantially similar …"

**"Isomer" definition (why the schedule catch-all does not reach it) — K.S.A. 65-4101(y):** "'Isomer' means all enantiomers and diastereomers." (4-HO-MET is a homolog of the listed 4-substituted tryptamines, not an enantiomer/diastereomer — so the 65-4105(d) "salts, isomers and salts of isomers" sweep does not capture it.)
— K.S.A. 65-4101(y), same official URL.
**Schedule gap — K.S.A. 65-4105(d):** the hallucinogen list names AET, bufotenine, DET, DMT, psilocybin, psilocyn, AMT, 5-MeO-DiPT, 5-MeO-DMT, etc.; **4-HO-MET is not named**, and there is no "4-hydroxytryptamine"/"any tryptamine" generic in the subsection.
