2026-08-05 · Federal · DEA temporary Schedule I - mitragynine pseudoindoxyl, MGM-15, MGM-16 (DEA-1644 / FR 2026-17429) Second DEA Notice of Intent filed with the Federal Register on 7/1/2026 (companion to the 7-OH NOI, DEA-1570), placing three 7-OH-RELATED substances — mitragynine pseudoindoxyl (MP), MGM-15, and MGM-16 — into Schedule I under 21 U.S.C. 811(h). HHS confirmed these have no accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Same procedural clock as the 7-OH NOI: 30-day notice period, temporary order cannot issue before ~2026-08-05, effective on Federal Register publication of the order, 2-year duration (+1 yr possible). Unlike the 7-OH NOI there is NO concentration threshold here — these named substances are controlled outright. Confirm the exact companion docket number when the Federal Register posts on 7/6/2026.
